Morning
The Derwentwater lakeshore circular walk makes a great start to your day. The route sets off through the woods, a great place for games of hide and seek. Don't forget to take a bag to collect things like pine cones along the way. This pram friendly route takes you as far as Calfclose Bay and then returns via the lakeshore. There are a few tree roots to negotiate along the way but nothing an all terrain pram couldn't handle. View and download route.
Afternoon
Take your time on the return route stopping to picnic and paddle on the way. Even in colder weather splashing in the lake in wellies is great fun. Feeding the ducks and skimming stones are always popular activities. Just before getting back into Keswick town centre Hope Park offers traditional games such as crazy golf and pitch and putt and Cafe Hope where you can enjoy refreshments in or outside the cafe or take away.
