Keswick Alhambra Cinema is a historic venue that opened on 22nd January 1914 with the film Quo Vadis, established by the Keswick Alhambra Theatre Company registered in 1913. Originally featuring local films and live elements, the cinema faced closure in the late 1960s as audiences declined.
Following major refurbishment, it reopened in October 2021 with No Time To Die. The restoration preserved character features including stained glass windows repaired by local craftspeople and restored timber windows.
Modern upgrades include Xenon lamps and a larger Cinemascope screen. A second screen now enables a wider film range.
Refreshments are available at the kiosk, with external food and drinks not permitted inside.
