Gill Brow Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage attached to a characterful 17th-century farmhouse, set on a traditional hill farm in the Newlands Valley near Keswick. The 300-year-old farmhouse features original beams, rustic doors and wooden floors.
The cottage offers unspoiled views across the valley towards nearby mountains including Catbells, Maiden Moor and Hindscarth. With two bedrooms including one with full-size bunks, guests enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with a roaring open fire during colder months.
The Wilson family have farmed here for two generations, maintaining traditional methods and caring for a fell flock of Swaledale and native Herdwick sheep, plus a small suckler herd. Local produce features in welcome provisions, including Cumberland sausage, homemade bread and preserves.
